Co-Founder & CEO
Natascha leads nagene as CEO and is responsible for the company’s overall strategy, quality framework and regulatory direction. She defines the long-term vision of nagene, with a strong focus on reliable DNA synthesis, full AOF production and sustainable GMP-compliant growth.
Florian is responsible for production and research & development at nagene. He leads the technical implementation of DNA synthesis workflows, process optimization and the development of robust solutions for complex gene constructs.

Our leadership team ensures the reliable execution of nagene’s DNA synthesis workflows. Production, quality assurance and quality control are fully integrated under a unified GMP-compliant framework.
Alexander is responsible for nagene’s quality management system and the establishment and maintenance of GMP-compliant structures. He leads the setup, documentation and continuous improvement of GMP-relevant processes, ensuring regulatory compliance across all DNA synthesis workflows.
Smilja leads the quality control activities at nagene. She ensures consistent testing, release readiness and adherence to defined quality standards across all DNA synthesis projects.
Production activities at nagene are led by Florian Höfig, ensuring direct technical oversight of DNA synthesis workflows, continuous process optimization and operational excellence under fully GMP-compliant conditions.
He is supported by a dedicated laboratory team operating within clearly defined GMP-compliant structures and quality frameworks.
